Event FAQs

What is your event scheduling procedure?

Begin by browsing through our Event Options and Speaking Engagements pages to get an idea of what types of programs are available. Keep in mind that the information listed is just a starting place; all events will be specifically tailored to fit your goals, and if you have something else in mind, we can work to accommodate you. When you have a general idea of what you would like to do, please contact Rosalind’s speaker’s bureau, American Program Bureau, Inc., or call her speaking agent Nancy Eisenstein directly at: 800.225.4575 Ext 1616, or via the following contact form: Speakers Bureau Contact Form

How far in advance should I book my event?

You may look at our calendar to get a general idea of our availability, but bear in mind that it does not include our speakers’ other obligations. It is wise to plan between 3-6 months in advance, but we will do our best to fit your event into the schedule at any time. Our busiest months are September – November and February – April, so if you are interested in those months it is strongly recommended to act quickly. It is best to have two or three possible dates in mind for your event to ensure availability. Dates cannot be put on hold without a signed contract and deposit.

What are your speaking fees?

Fees for speaking engagements and trainings vary depending on the length and scope of the presentation. It is best to contact us with an idea of what type of event you would like to do so that we can quote you a price. All presentations are custom-tailored, and can be scaled up or down according to your budget. Please note that travel and expenses (e.g.: flight, hotel, ground transportation, and per diem for meals) are never included in the speaking fee and should be accounted for as additional items in your budget.

If there is an event in my area listed on your calendar, may I attend?

Unless otherwise noted, events are private engagements for specific schools and organizations. However, you are more than welcome to contact the client listed and request to attend.

Can you do an Owning Up™ training at my school?

Yes, we offer on-site Owning Up™ training for large groups.  Visit the Owning Up™ page for more information on the Owning Up™ Training Institute. Feel free to contact our office to help you figure out what options would work best for your organization.

How do I coordinate a book signing for my event?

Speakers do not bring books with them to sign, and therefore orders must be placed in advance of your event. The larger the number of books you wish to purchase, the earlier you’ll want to place an order. We recommend doing so 4-6 weeks in advance of your event to ensure you receive the quantity you have requested in time. You are free to order books from whomever you choose, but we recommend having a local independent bookstore, Barnes & Noble, or Borders help with the orders. They should offer discounts for group orders, and most will take back any unsold merchandise. You can also contact our publishers directly for each of our speakers’ publications.

What is your event cancellation policy?

For events booked through the American Program Bureau, please contact them directly for their cancellation policy. For events booked through RPW, Inc., the following policy applies:

If the Client is forced to cancel the event for any reason, the Client and RPW Inc. will reschedule the event for a mutually agreed upon date and time, should the Client choose to do so. The Client will have 30 days after the initial cancellation to reschedule the event with RPW, Inc. and to have their deposit honored for the future event. If the Client has not rescheduled in this time, the deposit is no longer applicable towards a future event.

If RPW Inc. is forced to cancel the event for any reason, the Client and RPW Inc. will reschedule the event for a mutually agreed upon date and time, should the Client choose to do so. If the Client decides NOT to reschedule the event or if a date and time cannot be agreed upon within 60 days of cancellation, all deposits and payments received by RPW Inc. for the cancelled event will be refunded to the Client.

Airfare and travel expenses are not refundable under any circumstance. If the event is cancelled by either party, the Client will not be reimbursed for travel expenses incurred. If airline travel is cancelled or changed, the Client is responsible for all fees associated with that transaction. RPW Inc. strongly recommends that the Client purchase fully changeable and refundable airline tickets.
