As a middle school counselor herself, Julia Taylor has a brilliant understanding of girls and their issues. Her approach is a practical one, offering girls positive and effective strategies about how to be a good friend and how to maintain healthy friendships. Fortunately she departs from the tired mantra that girls are mean , but instead helps them learn how to deal with the social challenges that come with growing up. Ms. Taylor is also a tremendous resource for parents. With great insight and humor, she helps them establish a wholesome perspective on common girl issues and provides proven ways to support their daughters without smothering them.

Words are not enough to say what a great speaker Julia Taylor is. The first time I ever heard her, I knew I would want to hear her again and again. I have attended at least 4 of her trainings/workshops and she never ceases to amaze me. She is always updating and adding more “stuff” dealing with the realities of adolescence. I am a middle school counselor as well and deal with adolescents on a daily basis. Her “down to earth” presentations are phenomenal. I always receive information that I can go back to my school and apply the next day. I have conducted girl groups that center around the books, Salvaging Sisterhood and GIRLS. The girls loved the activities and wanted to meet daily (which we all know is impossible). I hope to attend more trainings in the future— because I know that Julia is speaking from the HEART.

Julia was a pleasure to work with in every way.  She delivered quality information in a fast paced and engaging way. Everyone left her sessions with positive things to say about her, the information she shared, and the way she shared it.  As a practicing school counselor Julia has the advantage of sharing her real experiences in the context of best practices in critical areas that affect our students and their lives today.  Her materials were first rate and I would recommend her highly to school counselors, districts, or school counseling organizations who are looking for someone who can engage them in up-to-date and highly professional activities.

I have to let you know that I thank you for the little time you did spend in my life, because if I didn’t learn anything else from you, I learned, “Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren’t.  -Margaret Thatcher. I have held that with me for the past 10 or 11 years…THANK YOU!
