Emily Bartek

As the Director of Publicity & Brand Development for RPW Inc., Emily Bartek works to establish, advance, and maintain Rosalind Wiseman’s messages of dignity and social justice through a variety of traditional and new media platforms.

Emily began working with Rosalind in 2005 as the media relations and event director. In that role she worked hand in hand with Crown Publishing to craft and execute the publicity strategies and book tours for the hardcover and paperback releases of Queen Bee Moms & Kingpin Dads, and coordinated Rosalind’s speaking engagements in schools and communities throughout the country.

In 2008 she began spearheading the effort to bring Rosalind’s books and overall message to a more dynamic platform that would encourage an ongoing dialogue around creating cultures of dignity. Her goal in relaunching Rosalind’s website was to create a space where people could think critically about our culture and how it impacts the way children develop, moms and dads parent, and how we all interact with one another every day.

With an uncanny ability to channel teen dialogue, Emily works with Rosalind in developing editorial and video content for her Family Circle column, Rosalind’s Inbox series, non-fiction and fiction publications. She is also a contributing writer for rosalindwiseman.com.

Having been interested by the ways in which issues of relational aggression and social hierarchies play out in young adulthood, Emily co-wrote an anti-hazing curriculum for sorority women that is currently utilized within Delta Gamma Fraternity. She is passionate about working with college women and helping them to build authentic relationships with one another.

Previously, Emily worked as a research and editorial assistant to a major magazine columnist, and contributed to stories in Vanity Fair, American Way, and several book projects. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and is a graduate of the Columbia Publishing Course in New York.

Emily was born in Steeler Country, raised in Broncos Country, and is a 2-time winner in her Fantasy Football league. She loves to write, travel, cook, connect interesting people she knows, and make people laugh. She does all her own stunts.
